Aryna Sabalenka has picked up where she left off in Australia. The World No.2, who won her first Grand Slam title in Melbourne last year, has run her unbeaten streak in the country to 14 matches with three wins this week at the Brisbane International, and she's lost just nine games in six sets in wins over Lucia Bronzetti, Zhu Lin and Daria Kasatkina.

While she's been nearly flawless on the court, Sabalenka was left tongue-tied off of it by the presence of a certain Hollywood A-lister who was in the stands for her 6-4, 6-1 win over Kasatkina in the quarterfinals on Friday night.

"I don't know if you're ready for this question," on-court interviewer Jelena Dokic said, "I know you love movies ... there was a very special person here tonight."

"Wow!" a stunned and smiling Sabalenka said when informed by Dokic that the two-time Academy Award-winner Jude Law was watching her. "It's a good thing I didn't know that! Thanks to [everyone] for not telling me that!"

As she searched for Law around the arena, she added: "Thank you so much for the support! ... I'll find you!"

The 51-year-old Law, star of such films including "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "Cold Mountain," and the "Fantastic Beasts" Harry Potter-spinoff franchise as a young Albus Dumbledore, dressed casually in a black shirt and gray pants. He was accompanied by his 21-year-old son Rudy at the match.

Law is in Queensland to film his latest project, Ron Howard's survival film "Eden," which also stars Ana de Armas, Sydney Sweeney and Vanessa Kirby—and home favorite Jordan Thompson, who saved three match points to stun Rafael Nadal in the night's second match, said he was watching some of Law's most famous films ahead of his famous victory.

“I was warming up and he was on the court," Thompson said. "I didn’t even know until I looked at him and I thought, ‘Oh shit, I was watching you last week on the screen.’ I’m a big fan of Dumbledore, Watson, and Sherlock Holmes. It was really cool to see him supporting the tennis. Glad he came. Might have been a good luck charm.”

Sabalenka is through to the semifinals, where she'll face two-time Brisbane champion Victoria Azarenka. Sabalenka has won three of her four career meetings against her former Billie Jean King Cup teammate, and dubbed the former world No. 1 "inspiring" for the level she's shown since giving birth to her son, Leo, in 2016.

"[She gives] me belief that maybe one day I can have baby and come back and play on the high level," she said. "I watched a little bit of her game this week. She's playing really amazing well, serves really well. I saw today [against Jelena Ostapenko] she served 16 aces, which is incredible. Seems like something amazing.

"I'm really looking forward for that semifinals match. I'm really expecting great battle."
