Azarenka thinks Pouille looks like Harry Kane

Almost all eyes around Wimbledon on Tuesday night were on the English national soccer team, which was fighting to make the quarterfinals of the World Cup for the first time since 2006.

Amid all of the chaos, Victoria Azarenka had a unique observation. She thinks England's star player Harry Kane looked a lot like world No. 19 Lucas Pouille.

Azarenka's initial tweet proved controversial in the comments, so she had to provide further proof:

Still, Pouille, whose French team is still in the World Cup as well, disagreed:

Kane wound up named the Man of the Match after scoring England's only regulation-time goal, on a penalty kick, and then scoring again in the penalty shootout. England won the shootout 4-3 to defeat Colombia.

The win was much to the pleasure of Kyle Edmund, who was watching with his Davis Cup trophy close by.

Edmund, who had won in straight sets earlier in the day, then spelled out one of the English team's slogans in water bottles:

England will play Sweden in the quarterfinals on Saturday, which is bad news for his relationship with his Swedish coach, Fredrik Rosengren.

Pouille's France plays Uruguay on Friday. Pouille and Azarenka both lost on Wednesday, to Dennis Novak and Karolina Pliskova, respectively.

Edmund will face American Bradley Klahn in the second round.
