Geau

Geau Sport was launched with the idea that tennis bags should transcend equipment transport, to be a coveted piece of gear. The Greenville, SC family-owned brand focuses on refined looks, durable materials and intelligent designs without overt branding or loud coloring. Their initial foray into the market—the Axiom 9-pack and Backpack—were impressive and lauded debuts. In fact, the response was so positive that several times during the past year they sold out of inventory. Building on that success, Geau has introduced three new bags to their expanding product line.

The Stance Tote ($150) has a sleek, modern appearance, but with the functionality needed for a dependable tennis bag. Capable of holding two frames with the handles exposed, the wide base and sturdy construction prevent the tote from slouching or tipping over. The main compartment, which has an internal padded sleeve and slide-in pocket, is secured by a magnetic lid for easy access and a clean exterior. The front face pocket has several felt-lined slots for protecting valuables, and also has a magnetic flap closure. An exterior slide-in pocket is perfect to hold a water bottle or can of balls.

The Aether 3-Pack ($85) is a compact racquet bag for players who don’t need to carry a locker over their shoulder. The main compartment has the capacity to store up to a trio of racquets, or other necessities if housing fewer frames. A unique, zippered exterior mesh panel aerates and isolates wet items from the rest of your gear. A large external pocket is ideal for a water bottle or can of balls, and a felt-lined small exterior pocket provides security for phones, keys and other valuables.

The Aether Backpack ($100) sports tons of storage and versatility into tidy package. The padded back panel sleeve can store two frames with handles extended diagonally to avoid head contact. It also can be used to store a large laptop or tablet. The main compartment is the place for larger items and clothes, with several zippered compartments to keep things separate. As with the 3-Pack, there’s an exterior zippered mesh pocket to isolate wet gear, large enough to carry size 12 shoes. Two mesh side pockets can be used for drinks and tennis ball cans.

Where the Axiom bags are only available in black, these new additions each come in two understated color options. The Aether bags are offered in charcoal and mint, while the Stance Tote can be had in blue and black.
