Bencic takes a tough loss in Linz like a champ

Belinda Bencic admitted to feeling emotional after a 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (4) loss to Mihaela Buzarenscu in Linz, but quickly noted the bigger picture. The 20-year-old is playing in just her third tournament back, having undergone wrist surgery in the spring.

The former world No. 7 won her first tournament back at a $100,000 in St. Petersburg.

Linz was her first WTA event back, and she reached the quarterfinals after surviving an epic first-rounder against Kirsten Flipkens.

Even though she's just 20, Bencic can already appreciate the meaning of good health.

Bencic's ranking has slipped as low as No. 318 this year, but she's back inside the Top 200.
