Relaxing, reading books, baking, doing puzzles. It’s how many people spent much of quarantine, and Kiki Bertens isn’t all that different. However, unlike most people, she has a puzzle that’s actually of herself.

During the six-month hiatus, the world No. 8 rested and spent lots of time at home with her family. She still hit the gym for daily workouts, but took numerous weeks away from the court for the first time in her career.

“I really liked it. Mentally it was really good I think for me, as well,” Bertens stated in a press conference.

She also took to Instagram on Monday to announce some exciting and unusual news; The 28-year-old has come to life in puzzle form.

The tennis star collaborated with Blokker to create a cartoon, tennis-themed puzzle in which Bertens is the star, designed by Dutch comic artist Jan van Haasteren.

“I am excited to have two of my passions come together,” Bertens wrote on Instagram.

The special edition Bertens puzzle is available exclusively at Blokker and Intertoys, starting September 21, but the 28-year-old is also doing a giveaway on her own Instagram. Following her instructions to enter could win you one of 24 signed puzzles.

Bertens has recently arrived in Rome to prepare for the clay swing, as she was one of many top players to opt out of the US Open. She will face Polona Hercog on Thursday in her opening match at the Italian Open.
