The lead-ups to high-level tennis matches tend to be overly serious in tone, but it was all smiles ahead of Marin Cilic's second-round bout at the Paris Masters:

A little boy had the honor of escorting Cilic onto the court, and he had the time of his life doing it, soaking up the spotlight in all its glory:

He later got to spend even more time with Cilic, who gave him a hug and an autographed shirt.

Cilic went on to make the quarterfinals in Paris, where he fell short in three sets to Novak Djokovic. He'll start 2019 at No. 7 in the world.
