The grass-court season got off to a rocky start for Matteo Berrettini. The Italian entered the Boss Open in Stuttgart as defending champion, and bowed out in his first match to countryman Lorenzo Sonego. But the big-hitter’s fashion game is always in high gear.

Case in point: A newly released limited capsule he co-created with clothing sponsor Hugo Boss, that combines stylish aesthetics with performance-driven features.

The Boss x Matteo Berrettini collection includes polos, crews, shorts and hoodies made of moisture-wicking, four-way stretch fabrics. Berrettini is pictured above wearing the Slim-Fit Houndstooth Polo ($148), which has a stand collar and two-button placket. It’s paired with Stretch Poplin Shorts ($148) that are made of flexible, lightweight polyester for breathability and freedom of movement.

To complete the head-to-toe look, Berrettini will play in a special limited-edition Asics Gel-Resolution 9 ($160). The stylish, camel and black colorway represents the first collaboration between the shoe manufacturer and Boss. The Gel-Resolution franchise has been the epitome of rock-solid stability and support, and this ninth installment has improvements to the fit in the upper, support in lateral movement and a segmented outsole to encourage smoother court landings. A six-month outsole warranty bolsters the shoe’s durability.
