yatra selfies badosa osorio

Now this is how you do a day at the US Open.

Colombian singer-songwriter Sebastian Yatra—who shot to global fame last year with the success ‘Dos Oruguitas’, which featured in Disney’s Encanto—spent the perfect Tuesday in Flushing Meadows taking in the tennis, and taking lots and lots of selfies with players.

The musician was in hot demand from the ATP and WTA’s Hispanic contingent, as he was stopped multiple times throughout the day by the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Paula Badosa, coach David Nalbandian and countrywoman Camila Osorio.

“Yesterday we almost swapped the microphone for a racquet,” Alcaraz wrote in an Instagram caption, while Osorio captioned her own selfie: “Colombia in New York”.

Later that evening, Yatra was just another fan on Arthur Ashe Stadium supporting Rafael Nadal—but the Colombian was treated to the best view in the house, sitting in the Spaniard’s player box a few rows behind Carlos Moya.

"Thank you for the support Sebastian!" Nadal wrote on Instagram, sharing a story of Yatra showing off his orange Nadal logo hat as he celebrated the four-time champion's 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 win over wild card Rinky Hijikata.

The Colombian was in town during a break from his Dharma World Tour, dropping into New York City in between two of his Texas tour stops and flying right back after the tennis.

But even though his stay was brief, Yatra has clearly won the US Open selfie game:
