Nick Kyrgios makes no bones about his affinity for basketball over tennis, but now his passion for hoops is on display for the world to see. Kyrgios posted on his Instagram revealing his right-arm tattoo sleeve featuring the late Kobe Bryant, as well as Lebron James and a pair of signature Jordan 1 sneakers.
His tattoo is the most recent and bold of professional tennis’ tattoos, but he’s not the only player rocking some serious ink. We took a look at some of the game’s most prominent tattoos.
Svetlana Kuznetsova has several tattoos, but none more intense than her full-back wing art.
Slovenia's Polona Hercog does not mess around when it comes to her ink. She dons a rose bush sleeve on her left forearm, while her right arm looks like something out of the movie Ghost Rider.
Stan Wawrinka's Samuel Beckett inspired tattoo has received plenty of attention. It reads "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better."
If Karolina Pliskova wasn't intimidating enough already, she owns two Maori tattoos, one on her left arm and one on her left thigh.
Great Britain's Liam Broady has some serious ink on his midsection. One tattoo is clearly a lion, while the other appears to be a Spartan soldier.
One of Denis Kudla's proudest achievements is qualifying for the 2016 Olympics, so he had the Olympic rings tattooed on his left shoulder.
A lot of people thought Dustin Brown's tattoo was of Bob Marley, it's not. It's his father, Leroy. Brown added to the family portrait on his body with a tattoo of his mom for Mother's Day.
Aryna Sabalenka owns one of the game's fiercest tattoos, a roaring tiger on her left forearm.
Some of Janko Tipsarevic's tattoos include a wing, a globe, and a dagger. As for the rest? Your guess is as good as ours.
Bethanie Mattek-Sands owns a wonderfully colorful flower bouquet tattoo on her right arm.
Borna Coric's right bicep tattoo gets straight to the point. "There is nothing worse in life than being ordinary," it reads.
