CG1 'New Vintage' Coco Gauff

Coco Gauff is not letting an all-white dress code get in the way of fashion, on or off the tennis court. The 19-year-old unveiled the newest colorway for her signature Coco CG1s ahead of the grass-court Grand Slam at Wimbledon—and these “New Vintage” sneakers are a throwback to a New Balance classic.

For her latest release, Gauff and New Balance designers took their inspiration from the much-loved New Balance 650s. The 80s-era basketball-inspired sneakers give off old-school and lifestyle vibes, which are translated perfectly in the Coco CG1’s All England Club-approved neutrals.

With a similar high-top, basketball-style silhouette, the “New Vintage” CG1s combine retro style with modern performance technology captured in muted sea salt and crisp white colors.

“Sometimes—and I know when you go to the bathroom, you're supposed to use the bathroom—but I would go to the bathroom just to check and make sure nothing was showing.

"So I think it's going to relieve a lot of stress for me and other girls in the locker room for sure.”

Gauff will be back in action on Friday in Eastbourne as she takes on Madison Keys in the semifinals. Wimbledon kicks off on Monday, July 3.
