It’ll be Dominica Cibulkova’s first time in Singapore for the WTA Finals, and it has been a long time coming for the 27-year-old. The Slovak won three titles this year including Katowice, Eastbourne and Linz, and her ranking rose from No. 38 to her career-high ranking of No. 8.

The year has been a comeback for Cibulkova (who was named WTA Comeback Player of the Year) after undergoing foot surgery in 2015. The four month hiatus saw her ranking go from No. 11 to No. 49.
