On the latest episode of Credentialed: Roland Garros, host Daniela Hantuchova takes a trip down a rather nostalgic catwalk as she counts down her five favorite French Open fashions.

Earning high praise from the former world No. 5 are tennis’ premier power couple, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf.

Known for his “Image is everything” approach to tennis in the early 1990s, Agassi turned heads in 1991 with an especially audacious look that blended bright lycra and dark denim.

“I wish there was more of these kinds of fabrics and colors were more involved in our sport,” Hantuchova says. “I’ve always thought that the jeans look was super cool and I just wish we went more often in that kind of leisure direction on the court.”

Agassi at last completed the Career Grand Slam in Paris at the end of the decade; that same year, Graf outlasted Martina Hingis to win her 22nd major title in an outfit Hantuchova won’t soon forget.

“There is something about the blue-yellow color combination on the red clay.”

Rounding out the countdown, Hantuchova takes fans into the Roland Garros museum for a look at her No. 1 pick: Mary Pierce’s black-and-white dress that took her to the title in the year 2000.

“There was something very special about Mary that year. She had such a beautiful glow around her, and the French crowd behind her. It’s the most iconic dress I will ever remember.”

Speaking of iconic looks, the tour of Roland Garros continues with a trip to La Grand Boutique, the tournament’s chicest spot for on-site apparel.
