She’s not almost Saville anymore!

Daria Gavrilova celebrated her wedding to longtime partner Luke Saville over the weekend, culminating in a hilarious first dance posted to social media.

“We learned this on YouTube at home,” Gavrilova wrote on Instagram.

Born in Russia, Gavrilova and Saville met as juniors back in 2009 and began dating two years later at the Australian Open. The two got engaged in 2018, not long after Gavrilova began playing for Australia and enjoying her best results on tour.

Gavrilova peaked at No. 20 in the WTA rankings in 2017 and reached the second week of back-to-back Australian Opens before injuries impeded her progress. At the start of 2021, she underwent surgery on her Achilles tendon and returned to play the Billie Jean King Cup, where she scored an upset over Greet Minnen en route to leading Australia into the semifinals.

She celebrated the off-season with a bachelorette party and finally tied the knot with Saville, an Australian Open men’s doubles finalist, on December 4.

“I love you always forever,” wrote Gavrilova, quoting Donna Lewis’ song of the same name.
