Miami has been ground zero for Messi Mania this summer, and tennis players have been among the celebrities packing in to witness the GOAT at work.

Ever since Messi, the World Cup winning Argentina and former Paris Saint-Germain forward, signed for Inter Miami CF in a deal brokered by megastar David Beckham, there has been an explosion of interest in the American soccer club. Messi’s signature No. 10 jerseys have long been sold out, tickets to the matches are hard to come by, and last week his MLS debut drew attendance from the likes of Serena Williams and Kim Kardashian.

Known Messi stans Diego Schwartzman and Victoria Azarenka weren’t far behind. On Tuesday, they were among the second wave of stars who hit the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale to take in Messi’s next game.

“What a pleasure to see you again, as the song says!!!” Schwartzman posted on Instagram, as he shared a selfie with Messi and his brother Mattias.

The Argentine trio was shown chatting and laughing together after Messi was substituted out of the match and sat on the bench with his teammates. Inter Miami charged to a 4-0 victory over Atlanta United, after Messi opened the scoresheet with the first two goals.

“What a day… in another city seeing Lionel Messi again,” Schwartzman wrote in another post. “The energy he causes people to feel and how much I enjoy seeing someone smile like he does. I’m going to sleep happy.”

Schwartzman seemed to have had a night to remember, as he also shared photos with Inter Miami co-owner Beckham, Latin music superstar Marc Anthony and reggaeton artist Rauw Alejandro during the star-studded evening. DJ Khaled, Camila Cabello, Diddy and more were also in attendance.

But while Schwartzman was chatting it up with Messi in yet “another city”, former WTA world No. 1 Azarenka appears to still be waiting for an up-close meeting with her idol. Azarenka has followed his career from FC Barcelona to PSG—regularly wearing the French team’s jerseys to practice—and now to Miami.

Azarenka posted a hilarious snap of her “selfie with Messi”—a long-distance shot from the touchline as Messi, in his pink No. 10 jersey, raced past in the background—and laughed at her emotional face.

“Anywhere closer than that I would probably/most likely cry,” she added.
