At No. 22 in the Race to London, Grigor Dimitrov won't have a chance this year to defend his ATP Finals title in two weeks. But the Bulgarian hasn't given up on 2018 completely. It looks like he's getting some help from Andre Agassi, at least for this week's ATP Masters 1000 in Paris.

It's a little strange to make a coaching addition with just one tournament left in the season, but Dimitrov, who has not made a semifinal since Monte Carlo in April, will probably want to turn things around sooner rather than later.

The partnership is not officially confirmed, but the practice session brought on plenty of speculation. This wouldn't the Agassi's first coaching job, either—he recently worked with Novak Djokovic, though it lasted less than a year. Daniel Vallverdu is still Dimitrov's primary coach.

Dimitrov is currently ranked No. 10, and while defending just 90 points in Paris, he'll lose 1,500 for not defending his ATP Finals points, and risks dropping out of the Top 20. With one ATP Masters 1000 title and one ATP Finals title to his name, the 27-year-old Dimitrov still has a potentially very bright future head of him, if he can return to his elite form.

The No. 9 seed in Paris started with a 7-6 (10), 6-4 win over Roberto Bautista Agut on Wednesday. He plays Marin Cilic next.
