Djokovic, Nadal and more visit Palace of Monaco

Tennis royalty met Monaco's royalty ahead of the ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem and more took a field trip to the Prince's Palace of Monaco.

It's the official residence of the Sovereign Prince of Monaco Prince Albert II, and was built in 1191 as a Genoese fortress. Zverev's older brother Mischa served as the host, interviewing players on site about their experience.

"To get dressed a little bit differently than tennis gear and feel royal a little bit at least for five minutes a day, it's nice," Djokovic said. "It's important as well to get the support for the tournament from the palace and the prince himself."

Djokovic is the top seed, while Nadal returns to Monte Carlo as the No. 2 seed. The Serbian is seeking his third Monte Carlo title while Nadal is after his record 12th.

In Monte Carlo, Nadal holds the record for most titles (11), most wins (68) and oldest champion (31 in 2018). He will open against Roberto Bautista Agut while Djokovic will face Philipp Kohlschreiber.
