DROP IT LOW: The backhand drop shot

When your opponent has trouble moving in or likes to hang back behind the baseline, try using a drop shot. The key is to disguise the shot so it looks like a normal slice, but then decelerate the racquet face at the last moment. Wait for a medium-paced ball that’s not too slow so you can use your opponent's pace to create underspin.
