Emma Raducanu continued her upward climb as she achieved a new career-high ranking of world No. 20 The Brit will look to make moves in the rankings and will have another opportunity to do so this week at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz Open. She arrived on Saturday and was greeted at the airport with flowers, a tournament car which was a slick all-white Porche and of course media who waited in the freezing cold just to capture her arrival.

Since arriving at the WTA 250 event, she's been a fan favorite and is taking it all in. The tournament in Linz marks her seventh WTA event and her first as the top seed and according to Tennis Channel's Jim Courier it's smart she's getting more matches in.

"The learning curb is steep right now on what it's like to be a superstar with such limited experience. I say good for her that she's playing these extra tournaments and getting more match reps and experience in the limelight. She needs more of this, especially going into the Australian Open," Courier said on Tennis Channel Live.

Before kicking off her campaign, the US Open champion took some time to explore the city and a winter photoshoot on a newly built bridge, called the "Danube River Bridge." Since landing in Linz, the teen seems to be all smiles and loving the city.

"This is amazing," Raducanu said while on the bridge. "I've been really lucky, I think everyone has been so so nice and the tournament is really well organized. I really enjoyed my time so far.

"The bridge is amazing and the views are really really nice too. Hopefully I get to explore a bit more, but I'm really enjoying it so far."

Surpassing one of her idols, Simona Halep in the rankings puts the two-time major champion as the tournament's No. 2 seed. Raducanu received a bye in the first round and will face China's Xinyu Wang in the second round for the first time on Tuesday.
