Eugenie Bouchard does impromptu meet-and-greet with New York City fans

Eugenie Bouchard is back in New York and on Monday night the Canadian was craving pizza.

Not just any pizza—she was on the hunt for the best slice in the Big Apple and naturally dropped the question in her Instagram story.

"Craving pizza, what's the best pizza spot in NYC? she wrote on Instagram.

The answers came flooding in with majority voting for Joe's Pizza in the West Village. Bouchard headed over to Joe's, but not without inviting her followers to join.

Although slightly late to her own party, she was nonetheless greeted by a solid group of starry-eyed fans—many of whom were in utter disbelief that the Canadian actually showed up.

Bouchard and her new friends chatted while diving into what looked like the most delicious pizza. The 2014 Wimbledon finalist also bought rounds of pizza for her special guests.

She shared a quick video of her taking a bite out of the classic New York pizza and seemed to love it, but is it the best? The question remains unanswered by Bouchard.

"Thank you all for showing up last minute lol! So much fun hanging out. Should we make this an annual thing?" Bouchard wrote on Twitter.

Currently rehabbing from arthroscopic surgery, she hopes to be back on the court competing again soon.
