Belinda Bencic is going to be a mom!

The 26-year-old Swiss announced her pregnancy on Instagram Friday, posing with her longtime boyfriend Martin Hromkovic, 41, and their dog as the couple held baby shoes. Hromkovic is a Slovak professional soccer player who has doubled as Bencic's fitness coach.

"Expecting our little miracle soon!" the Tokyo Olympic gold medalist wrote. "We can’t wait to meet you."

Bencic didn't announce the baby's due date, nor hint at her comeback plans.

Bencic last played at the Cymbiotika San Diego Open in September, the week after the conclusion of the US Open, where she lost in the first round to Aliaksandra Sasnovich. She was entered in the following week's WTA 1000 Guadalajara Open Akron, but withdrew from her first-round match due to illness.

Bencic's announcement was met with a flood of congratulatory message from her WTA Tour peers, including Paula Badosa, her compatriot Viktorija Golubic, and best friend Donna Vekic.

Currently ranked world No. 14, Bencic won two WTA singles titles in 2023 and posted a 31-13 record. She had previously been named to defending champion Switzerland's team for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, which begin next week.
