Roger Federer is already amped up for the next Laver Cup—even though it's 10 months away. With the announcement that Rafael Nadal has committed for the 2019 edition in Geneva, the excitement may be warranted.

The world No. 2-ranked Nadal was meant to be part of the Laver Cup in Chicago this year but withdrew with an injury following a tough US Open. There's a lot of tennis to be played between now and next September, which is when the three-day team event will be held pitting Team Europe against Team World.

Nadal and Federer joined forces on the doubles court in the first-ever Laver Cup in Prague in 2016, winning a dramatic match over Sam Querrey and Jack Sock. Team Europe has won the first two editions of the event, both times with the help of Federer.
