It's hard to find an athlete as popular in Paris as Roger Federer, but the Swiss himself found one on Tuesday, in Paris Saint-Germain forward and French FIFA World Cup champion Kylian Mbappe.

Federer subsequently took some ribbing on Twitter for an initial misfire posting the picture, but, in fairness, he's nearly twice as old as Mbappe, who's 20 and was given the FIFA Young Player Award at the World Cup.

But Federer, 10 years removed from his 2009 Roland Garros title, is showing no signs of slowing down—he won both his first- and second-round matches in straight sets, the latest being a 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 rout over lucky loser Oscar Otte.

In the third round, Federer is set to face 20-year-old rising star Casper Ruud, whose father, Christian, played the French Open alongside Federer in 1999.
