Roger Federer has his fair share of tough opponents, but he named one in particular that he would rather not face during Wimbledon: Nick Kyrgios.

The Swiss most recently defeated Kyrgios in the semifinals of Stuttgart last week, 6-7 (2), 6-2, 7-6 (5).

“I’d rather not play five-set matches against Nick because they would last too long and we would probably both grow beards before the end,” Federer said. “I’m a fan, really. He plays very relaxedly, just like me when I was young. Fortunately, I changed then, so I could become really successful. But it’s good to have guys like him on the tour. With him it's more about being focused to motivate himself again, doing the same on every point.”

Federer may not be speaking seriously, as some other big names come to mind like Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin del Potro. But eight of the total nine sets Federer and Kyrgios have played have gone to a tiebreak, so there may be some truth in his claim.
