Three weeks ago, Fabio Fognini was withdrawn from the Sardinia Open in Italy after testing positive for COVID-19. He has just revealed that it took him 21 days to finally test negative for the virus.

The Italian was the top seed at the ATP 250 before entering quarantine. He experienced mild symptoms including a couch, headache and fever.

Fognini now gets to reunite with his family and move forward. He's currently ranked No. 16 and since he's out of the running for the ATP Finals, there is just one ATP tournament left in 2020, the Sofia Open in Bulgaria.
