Fourhand is the Daily Spin's occasional roundup of various hits and misses on tour.

SHE'S GOT YOUR BACK  Kudos to Timea Bacsinszky, freshly named a UNAIDS global advocate, with intent to reach today's youth with the message that preventative help and treatment options are available, and that none of us are invincible. What's more, and with my own good friend's "frying pan" backhand volley in mind, Bacsinszky shows that she knows how to wield not just a tennis racquet but also a variety of kitchen utensils.

AILING  More often than usual, a number of casual-fan friends asked me where Venus and Serena's father, Richard Williams, was while his daughters had their way with Wimbledon's 2016 edition. Turns out the 74-year-old recently suffered a stroke.

FURBALL OF FAME  Monica Seles is en route to Newport, R.I., where she will introduce Justine Henin for her proper International Hall of Fame induction. Before that, quality time with a little piece of furry, precious cargo.

AFTERGLOW  The Wimbledon honeymoon is waning, but why should it? Check out two solid, closing-up-shop reads from Louisa Thomas at The New Yorker ("Serena Williams, Andy Murray, and a Political Wimbledon") and Naila-Jean Meyers of the New York Times ("A Cinderella Story, Minus the Athlete").

BONUS  For Sania Mirza fans: She's got a new autobiographical tome out now.
