It's called fashion, look it up! Naomi Osaka took tennis fans down memory lane this week as she revisited some of tennis' most iconic on-court looks, from her own notable match kits to the sartorial stylings made famous by Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.

The four-time Grand Slam champion served as host for the debut episode of "Serving Looks," a new web series from her production company Hana Kuma that's promising to explore how fashion and tennis have influenced each other over time.

Osaka kicks off the episode by introducing the red Nike dress and sneakers she wore at the Tokyo Olympics, which she dubbed: "The most beautiful Olympics dress you'll ever see."

She went on to recall out she felt as the Opening Ceremony's torch lighter, and that Nike made her a pair of custom white Air Force 1s with the brand's signature swoosh logo for the big moment.

"These are a treasure for me," Osaka says of the still-pristine kicks. "I really love shoes, and I really love things that bring me a lot of memories. These shoes bring me a lot of memories."

"When I was younger, I thought that this was the prettiest dress that Nike had ever made," Osaka later says as she recalls a childhood memory while holding Sharapova's teal-blue Nike dress from the 2007 Roland Garros tournament.

"I just remember thinking, 'Maybe one day, I'll be sponsored by Nike if I was good enough.'"

Osaka also revists Sharapova's 2007 Roland Garros teal dress, which she says she thought was "the prettiest dress Nike had ever made" when she was a child watching tennis; her own hot pink 2022 Australian Open romper, which she dubbed "very innovative;" Serena Williams' famous white and tan Puma dress from her 1999 US Open victory; and her own orange and black 2019 US Open dress, which she called "the greatest tennis outfit of all-time."

"I vividly remember thinking, 'This is the best tennis outfit I'm going to ever have,'" Osaka said, before promising to better it with her upcoming looks.

But tennis clothes aren't all Osaka explores. She also has thoughts on a striking black, leather jacket from the late Kobe Bryant's clothing link, and another pair of Nike shoes that are special to her because they feature detailing from the long-running magna series \Naruto\ and the cartoon likeness of her dog, Butta.

Each week, "Serving Looks" is promising to "dive into culture-shifting outfits, providing context for their history and their legacy throughout culture."
