Gael Monfils, Elina Svitolina pen sweet tributes to daughter Skaï on her first birthday

Skaï Monfils is 1! The daughter of tennis power couple Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina celebrated her first birthday on Sunday, and her proud parents each wrote heartfelt messages in her honor on social media.

"Every moment spent by your side reminds me how lucky I am to have you," Monfils wrote to his "little princess" in French on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

"Your smile, your laughter and even your tears gave a unique color to my daily life. You have truly enlightened and transformed my life.

"For you, my little pearl, I wish all the happiness imaginable and all the wonders that life has to offer."

Svitolina, meanwhile, took to Instagram to share her own personal birthday tribute to "the sweetest little girl."

"May your day be filled with laughter, joy, and lots of cake," she wrote. "You bring so much happiness to our lives, and we are grateful for every moment with you.

"Here's to a lifetime of love, happiness, and endless adventures. We love you more than words can express. Happy birthday, our precious angel."

Svitolina’s post even hinted that Skaï might have a future in her parents’ profession, as she shared a snapshot of the youngster on the court with her dad.

Since Svitolina returned from maternity leave in April, she and Monfils have enjoyed sharing snippets of their lives on tour as parents, whether or not Skaï has traveled with them.
