Gavrilova gets engaged to Luke Saville
Published Dec 17, 2018
Daria Gavrilova got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Aussie Luke Saville earlier this month on Dec. 6. She made the news public on Sunday.
"Can’t stop calling him fiancé and he hates it," Gavrilova wrote.
Both 24 years old, the couple met when they were 15 and began dating while playing on the junior circuit. Garvilova switched from Russian to Australian citizenship in 2016 and lives in Melbourne. Seville, ranked No. 453, just lost in the final of the Australian Open Wildcard Playoff.
Gavrilova is the second WTA player to say "yes" during the offseason, following Kiki Bertens' engagement to her physical trainer Remko de Rijke.
