Halep passes Dubai Duty Free test

To officially become the latest Dubai Duty Free ambassador, Simona Halep had to pass one final test. In Dubai, she was asked a few questions about Dubai Duty Free, and passed with flying colors.

The Roland Garros champion joins the role alongside fellow WTA pros Caroline Wozniacki and Elina Svitolina.

Halep is into the quarterfinals of the Premier 5 event, with straight-set wins over Eugenie Bouchard and Lesia Tsurenko.

She's been in excellent form, as evident by this sly drop-shot hot shot:

The world No. 2 has had a busy few weeks. She helped Romania reach its first Fed Cup semifinal and then reached the final in Doha.

She also tried a test run with a new coach, Thierry Van Cleemput, but the two chose not to continue the partnership so Halep is again without a coach.
