Holger Rune showed no mercy in his 6-0, 6-0, destruction of Bernata Zapates Miralles early Tuesday morning in Metz. Zapates Miralles qualified for the main draw via lucky-loser, but he wasn’t very lucky today, as he ate the first double-bagel of his career.

The 18-year-old, widely considered the best 18 and under player of the last few years, hit his stride in the first round after surviving two tough qualifying matches over Thomas Fabbiano and Philipp Kohlschreiber.

This win marks Rune’s first ever double-bagel victory at the ATP level. The Dane will take on fifth-seeded Lorenzo Sonego in the second round.
