Hot Shot: Nadal hits roaring backhand in Paris

Out of the gusty red-clay storm rose Rafael Nadal to defeat Roger Federer, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in the Roland Garros semifinals match and their 39th meeting.

The unfavorable weather conditions forced both Federer and Nadal to adjust and the Spaniard was superior to Federer in finding tactical solutions. Nadal claimed his 92nd win at Roland Garros in dominant fashion and proved once again he's the King of Clay when he ripped a backhand crosscourt that left Federer in the dust.

Nadal will play his third consecutive Roland Garros final on Sunday, and looks ready to capture his 18th Grand Slam title and extend his record to 12 French Open titles. The winner of Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem will try to stop him.
