The duo of Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski remained poised and steady, fighting back from a set down to defeat Andy Murray and Feliciano Lopez, 6-7 (5), 7-5, 10-4.

With this victory Jamie Murray retained bragging rights over his younger brother Andy on Friday in Cincinnati. Jamie Murray also defeated his younger sibling in Montreal in 2015, when he and John Peers beat Andy Murray and Leander Paes in straight sets.

Return points were at a serious premium in this match. At one point late in the second set, the serving team had won 27 of 28 points until a loose service game from Feliciano Lopez opened the door for Murray and Skupski.

Lopez’s sudden service woes continued into tiebreak where the Spaniard double faulted both of his service points at 4-7 in the match tiebreak.

Andy Murray will pack his bags and head to Winston Salem, N.C., where he is set to compete in the singles draw of the ATP 250 tournament.
