PARIS—There’s plenty of orange around the grounds of Roland Garros, but Jannik Sinner’s “Carota Boys” have nonetheless found a way to stand out.

The merry band of six made their debut at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia and followed their favorite to Paris to cheer him through a Monday-evening victory over Alexandre Müller.

“I have no idea where they’re from,” Sinner said after the match. “When I stepped on court I was like, ‘Okay, welcome guys. It’s a pleasure to have you here!’”

Sinner mused on what could have inspired their Veggie Tales-adjacent get-ups, pointing towards his preference for carrots as an on-court snack.

“I have orange hair, and I used to eat a lot of carrots in Vienna,” he said. “It’s a good nickname!”

Before Sinner took the court, the Carota Boys were a sight to behold, interacting with fans and getting attendees hyped for the No. 8 seed’s match on Court Philippe-Chatrier.

They already have their own Instagram!

Might more carrots pop up in time for Sinner’s second round against Daniel Altmarier?
