Jessica Pegula reveals her tennis superpower

“Ok I’m done,” writes Jessica Pegula on Nothing Major’s Instagram post about traveling pet peeves—after venting her entire list of European discrepancies across multiple comments.

The American world No. 3 knows a good stay—she was just appointed as a World of Hyatt ambassador, after all. But Pegula's racked up her fair share of hotel horror stories, too, and she was quick to swap hilarious anecdotes with Taylor Fritz, Reilly Opelka and more when the call went out on social media.

Hosted by John Isner, Sam Querrey, Steve Johnson and Jack Sock, the Nothing Major Show's comment section was the place to be last week as American players volleyed around the most important topic about European travel: Hotel pet peeves.

“When you’re at the airport, they don’t give you your gate until the last second,” Sam Querrey starts the discussion.

The 6'6" American was quick to add that “the king bed does not exist in Europe, it’s two twin beds pushed together every time.”

While agreeing with his co-host, John Isner adds his own into the mix:

“I need a straw for the scrambled eggs! Why are they always so runny? It’s gross.”

Their comment section flooded with ATP and WTA player replies, turning the post into a safe space for pros to air their travel grievances.

Pegula, specifically, spam-commented her top complaints:

“There is no ice anywhere if you ask for ice they give you 1 ice cube,” reads her top-liked comment.

“The pillows that are not pillows they are the equivalent of a paper towel.”

“The room key for electricity, (they never want to give you another key) then if housekeeping comes they take it out so you come back and it’s 80 degrees in the room.”

Pegula was joined by a handful of current and former players in the comments, including Ethan Quinn who writes, “Surely SUVs not being able to fit more than one suitcase has to be on the list.”

Alison Riske-Amritraj, in all-caps, emphatically joined in: "The shower door or rather, lack of!"

And Taylor Fritz added “half-sized doorways at all the tournament sites that (you) can barely walk (through) holding your bag” to the list.

Victoria Azarenka, Reilly Opelka and more also shared their pet peeves in a comment section—which in less than a week has flooded to nearly 200 replies.

“Best segment of all time!!” Querrey concluded in the comments. “We should do an entire show on European pet peeves.”
