Looking for your next book club selection? Take Jon Bon Jovi's word for it: "Federer: The Definitive Biography" is a cracking read.

The Grammy-award nominee recently read Chris Bowers' definitive English-language biography of the 20-time Grand Slam champion cover to cover, and shared a rave review on his Twitter account.

"A great read for anyone looking to be inspired. Cheers to you @rogerfederer," he wrote.

It should come as no surprise to tennis fans that one of the world's most prolific musicians had been inspired by one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

Born in New Jersey as John Francis Bongiovi, Jr., Bon Jovi is an avid fan of the sport; a frequent face in the crowd at the US Open, he most recently attended multiple sessions of the 2022 tournament, including the men's final between Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud.

The admiration's mutual. In a behind-the-scenes 'making of' video for an ad campaign he did for Swiss tourism with actress Anne Hathaway earlier this year, Federer revealed he's a big fan of Jon Bon Jovi's namesake band.

However, Federer might not have that much time for reading, even in retirement. Last week, The Guardian reported that the former world No. 1 is in talks to join BBC's Wimbledon coverage.
