The two longtime friends covered a lot of ground, from Solomon's start in TV and the changes in the television industry to Tennis Channel's coverage of Australian Open and even some non-tennis topics like politics.

Dr. Phil is more than a little familiar with the game of tennis. He plays regularly, hosts pros at his home court and has even dabbled in commentary, sort of. The host reflected on the time he crashed the commentary booth back at the 2009 US Open, when Juan Martin del Potro topped Roger Federer.

Eleven years later, Federer is preparing for the Australian Open, where he's seeking his 21st Grand Slam title. And of course, Tennis Channel and Solomon will be watching closely.
