Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams among stars who honor science achievement at Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

For the most part, tennis is a polite sport. Besides some notable exceptions, players keep their cool and respect their opponents throughout. Late on Saturday night, Angelique Kerber cracked after losing in the third round of the Miami Open to Indian Wells champion Bianca Andreescu.

After the 4-6, 6-4, 1-6 loss, Kerber and Andreescu went to shake hands, only for the former world No. 1 to limply grab the Canadian's hand while saying: "You're the biggest drama queen ever." Kerber was possibly referring to Andreescu taking a medical timeout for her right arm, and receiving treatment during changeovers.

Andreescu could sense the tension in the handshake, but wasn't sure what Kerber had said to her.

"She said something, but I'm not sure what," Andreescu said. "I just didn't say anything, whatever, I'm not trying to focus on that. I'll just let my tennis talk." #MiamiOpen

A few hours later, the German had regrouped and congratulated Andreescu on the win.

Let's take it as a heat-of-the-moment outburst.

Andreescu's 10-match win streak ended against Anett Kontaveit in the fourth round, when she retired while down 6-1, 2-0.
