“Kim, how are you? Are you hungover, and why?” Andy Roddick asked as he introduced former world No. 1 Kim Clijsters as the latest guest of his new podcast, Served with Andy Roddick.

“Last night things got a little loose,” Clijsters admitted. “My husband's team, he coaches a high school basketball team here… We've been kind of dealing with the whole build up to the Shore Conference Final and so they ended up winning it which was history made for the school."

“We celebrated, the parents celebrated harder than the kids, obviously,” she continued. “A lot of people ended up sitting in our jacuzzi, which I don’t know how all of that happened but that’s where it ended. For me anyway!”

As their wide-ranging discussion continued into the world of pickleball, Clijsters’ post-childbirth career and “the vortex” revolving Simona Halep, the Belgian fittingly showed no signs of next-day alcohol weakness.

“If I had to give you one piece of advice right now, Kim,” Roddick said at the end of the episode, “Just Advil, water, a touch of Pedialyte, Ginger Ale—a sneaky hangover cure.

“I'm just saying for the rest of your day. At this point today is written off. It's not going to get any lower than this podcast, but I do think there's time left in the day to make tomorrow a little bit better.”
