Less bathroom breaks?: Tsitsipas says dry desert conditions means no off-court trips 

Stefanos Tsitsipas is not missing the humidity in Flushing Meadows, New York. The Greek was all smiles during his first press conference at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and was very genuine when it came to talking about the dry conditions and the affect it will have when it comes to going to the bathroom.

Tsitsipas took yet another lengthy trip to the restroom after winning the fourth set against Andy Murray in their opening-round battle at the US Open, and it left Murray far past annoyed. The former No. 1 believes Tsitsipas' 8-minute long bathroom break influenced the course of the match and that the break was "nonsense."

The world No. 3 is very self-aware and made light of the heated and trending bathroom situation during pre-tournament press.

"It's very dry here. We know that when we come here the conditions are very dry.

"That is good for me because I guess I sweat less, which makes for less bathroom breaks, which makes for less complaints so a very good sign so far," Tsitsipas told media with a smile.

Was it a cheeky dig at Murray? Sure seems like it.

Fans will see a little later this week if the dry desert conditions will actually keep Tsitsipas from going to the bathroom to change his match attire. Only time will tell. Tsitsipas received a bye into the Masters 1000 second round and will face Pedro Martinez.
