Fans often freak out when they get to meet their favorite players, and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, despite being a celebrity in his own right, was no different.

After getting a picture with Puerto Rican Olympic gold medalist Monica Puig, Miranda shared it on Twitter and said, "I love her. I tried to be cool. ... I was not cool."

Miranda's no fake fan, either. He was supporting Puig right when the moment of her career happened:

He also may or may not have been watching tennis while he was writing Hamilton.

The 2018 season has been an up-and-down year Puig, who had some big wins, but was frequently hampered by injuries. She reached the quarters in Beijing as a qualifier with a win over Caroline Wozniacki (her second over the Dane of the year) and reached the semifinals of New Haven with a win over Caroline Garcia.

She shut her season down earlier this month, and is now ranked No. 54 in the world.
