The stars came out in the Royal Box for the women's singles final at Wimbledon Marketa Vondrousova defeated Ons Jabeur to win her first Grand Slam title in front of a who's who of famous faces, from actors and singers to both tennis and British royalty.

Vondrousova was presented the iconic Venus Rosewater Dish by Catherine, the Princess of Wales, under the watchful eye of former Wimbledon winners like Marion Bartoli, Billie Jean King, Conchita Martinez and Martina Navratilova.

With Navratilova representing the U.S. at the time of winning her titles, Vondrousova joined Jana Novotna (1998) and Petra Kvitova (2011 and 2014) as women representing the Czech Republic to win Wimbledon.

Vondrousova's long-shot odds of winning the title makes her championship run the stuff of a Hollywood movie, and fittingly, several of the silver's screen's biggest stars were on hand to witness her win.

Dame Maggie Smith, on of Great Britain's most famous actors; as well as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and her husband, singer and entertainer, Nick Jonas; and award-winning composer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife, Vanessa Nadal, were among those spotted on Centre Court.

They witnessed history: Vondrousova is the first unseeded Wimbledon women's winner in the Open Era, and first since Billie Jean King in 1963. A year ago, the Czech missed Wimbledon following wrist surgery, and was in London as a tourist.

“I don’t really know what’s happening right now,” Vondrousova told the Centre Court crowd after finishing off her win, in which she rallied from a break down in both sets.

“It’s an amazing feeling. I had a cast last year this time. This is amazing I can stand here. Tennis is crazy.”
