Garbine Muguruza came to fight on Day 3 of the US Open, and her look seemed to match the strength and stealthiness that she brought to her second-round match.

The No. 9 seed was dressed in all Adidas, who she has a 10-year contract with. Muguruza is the highest-paid female athlete on the Adidas roster, and the brand continues to deliver for her when it comes to outfitting for major tournaments. For this year’s US Open, Adidas opted for primarily earthy tones, which suit Muguruza perfectly. The Spaniard’s fit was a form-fitting dress with a flare near the bottom, allowing it to take on an A-line shape. Muguruza accessorized with a matching black visor and wristbands.

However, it was the pattern of the dress that really stood out and seemed to complement Muguruza’s playing style. Black and olive green wove in and out of each other in a loose herringbone design. The dress morphed from black on top to greenish brown in an ombré style. All in all, the outfit resembled a layer of snakeskin, moving with Muguruza each time she would strike on court. And strike she did.

Muguruza took on Andrea Petkovic in her second-round match, an opponent who she had never beaten before. It was as if the world No. 10 had made up her mind that today would be her day before even stepping on court. Muguruza was all power and poise as she slithered past Petkovic in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. She’s safely into the third round, and better yet, she’s set up a blockbuster meeting with Victoria Azarenka, where even more of her snakelike style is bound to come out.
