Mirra Andreeva has forgotten how to lose. But that doesn’t mean she’s forgotten her host location this week, and the familiar faces around her.

After triumphing at consecutive ITF $60 events in Switzerland, Andreeva has carried her form over to the WTA Tour with a trio of terrific wins this week. Following upsets over Leylah Fernandez and Beatriz Hadda Maia, Andreeva rang in her 16th birthday with a 6-3 6-3 victory over Magda Linette on Saturday.

When asked about the coolest part of competing at the Caja Magica during her visit to the Tennis Channel desk with Prakash Amritraj, the host could only smile and laugh with joy upon hearing her response:

“The atmosphere is so special. You take a lunch with all this stars, let’s say. You see Andy Murray... you see his face and he’s so beautiful in life. He’s so amazing,” the endearing teenager said.

“What a beautiful and magnificent answer,” declared Amritraj.

Upon learning of the kind words, Murray later took to Twitter with a dose of self-depreciation.

"Imagine how good she’s going to be when she gets her eyes fixed," he wrote.

Andreeva, a junior runner-up at this year’s Australian Open, will get the chance to battle the woman who reigned supreme in Melbourne, Aryna Sabalenka. The world No. 2 defeated Camila Osorio, 6-4, 7-5, in her third-rounder.

“I have nothing to lose. I gotta just go there and show the best tennis I can,” Andreeva shared about facing the 2021 Madrid winner. “There’s no pressure at all for me.”
