In the market for a new home? If you have a spare $25 million lying around, you can own a California home that was custom-designed by Maria Sharapova. The former world No. 1 has put her residence in the Golden State up for sale, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal

The five-bedroom home has an ocean view, is perched on 0.23 acres, and was designed with personal touches by Sharapova after she purchased the lot on which it stands for $4.1 million in 2012. Los Angeles-based KAA Design custom-built the house, which was completed in 2015.

Some of the ammenities include a double-heigh entry gallery, a media room for entertaining, a pool, an outdoor fireplace, and two bowling lanes.

The five-time Grand Slam singles champion, who will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame next month, maintained a base in Manhattan Beach since 2005. After retiring from tennis in 2020, she and her fiancé, British businessman Alexander Gilkes, welcomed a son Alexander in 2022.

The report says they are selling because they plan to spend more time in Europe with family, according to listing agent Susân Perryman, but will continue to maintain a residence in Florida, where Sharapova famously honed her tennis game from her early years at the IMG Academy under later coach Nick Bollettieri.
