Maria Sharapova teased tennis fans with one of the sport’s most sought-after selfies on Monday, sharing a picture with Serena Williams in the middle of the Moncler Genius fashion show in London.

"Reunited," Sharapova captioned.

Sharapova had devoted her Instagram stories to the event throughout the day, but saved one of the best for last as she came face-to-face with the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

This wouldn’t be the first time the former rivals have rubbed elbows in the fashion circle: Sharapova hung out with both Venus and Serena during the Met Gala back in 2021.

“She’s fun,” Serena said during an Instagram Live at the time. “We talked, we clicked, we laughed, we talked about tennis and it was really, really fun and I loved it!”

Now that both women have ostensibly hung up their racquets for good—Sharapova retired following the 2020 Australian Open while Williams played her final Grand Slam match last summer at the US Open—might we see more off-court collabs between two of tennis’ biggest style icons in the future?
