Roger Federer is no stranger to practicing in front of an audience, though one face in particular stood out during his Thursday Wimbledon warm-up.

Sporting her signature pink face mask, world No. 51 Marie Bouzkova kept it casual as she caught a glimpse at the 20-time major champion as he prepared for his 22nd Wimbledon appearance, and quickly recognized herself once the footage was posted on the tournament’s social channels.

Bouzkova has been up close and personal with the Swiss Maestro before, serving as one of his ball kids during a Davis Cup tie in 2007.

The 22-year-old went on to win her maiden major main-draw match at Wimbledon in 2019, foreshadowing her breakout run to the National Bank Open semifinals later that summer.

Bouzkova’s clay-court swing took a hit when she endured an unexpected right hand injury at the Mutua Madrid Open. Though she recovered in time to play Roland Garros, the affable Czech is admittedly more adept on quicker surfaces, reaching her first grass-court quarterfinal last week in Birmingham—where she also won her first doubles title with countrywoman Lucie Hradecka.
