Marketa Vondrousova is set to be the latest Olympic medalist to make it down the aisle.

The former French Open finalist is fresh off winning a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and took to social media to announce her engagement to longtime boyfriend Stepan Simek, who has been by her side for much of the last two years.

“My forever,” Vondrousova wrote under images with Simek and the ring.

Friends and fellow players were quick to extend their congratulations to the couple in the comments section, including former doubles partner CiCi Bellis, Kristina Mladenovic, and Kiki Bertens

Bronze medalist Elina Svitolina got married to fellow player Gaël Monfils just before her own medal-winning run in Tokyo, bowing out to Vondrousova in the semifinals before rounding out the podium thanks to a comeback victory over Elena Rybakina.

Currently ranked No. 42, Vondrousova is scheduled to return at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati in preparation for the US Open, the final major tournament of 2021.
