Ajla Tomljanovic found herself on the winning end of a tough battle against No. 30 seed Petra Martic underneath the lights of Court 5 at the US Open on Thursday night. The Aussie claimed the affair with 7-6(6), 6-4 score while boyfriend and ATP No. 8 Matteo Berrettini was spotted on the sidelines clinging onto the edge of his seat.

Not too long ago, the couple pushed each other to new heights at Wimbledon by supporting each other in the stands. Berrettini reached his first major final at the grass-court major and Tomljanovic entered the last eight for the first time at a Grand Slam. It looks like the pair are aiming to do the same in New York.

There's no limitations in love and the Italian proved that on Thursday night by staying court side during the world No. 46's match and certainly feeling all the emotions in the rollercoaster affair which ended just before midnight. On top of that, Berrettini is set to take the court on Friday Ilya Ivashka who's currently on a hot streak, having won Winston-Salem just before the last major of the year.

Even with a big third-round match ahead of him, Berrettini has no problem staying up late for love.

After her great performance, Berrettini should be able to breathe and enjoy a good night's rest ahead of his next battle. Tomljanovic will take the court next on Saturday and will face No. 4 seed Karolina Pliskova who was tested against heavy hitter Amanda Anisimova, but managed to grab a 7-5, 6-7(5), 7-6(7), victory.
