It's the news everyone has been waiting for (and especially anyone on Maria Sharapova's team). The five-time Grand Slam champion's two-year suspension for testing positive for meldonium has been reduced to 15 months. Announced on Tuesday after her appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Sharapova is free to play starting on April 26, 2017.

That date  happens to fall on a Wednesday, so presumably she could appear in Stuttgart or Istanbul (though she'd need a wildcard). Given that only top seeds get byes and have later starts, there's a greater chance she makes her return the week after in Prague or Rabat.

Plus, Stuttgart's lead sponsor is Porsche, who stopped endorsing the Russian immediately after her failed drug test was announced in March. But Head has—very proudly—stood by her side.

Maybe too proudly. Has a tennis sponsor ever sent out a congrats on your drug ban reduction before? No chance.

On Facebook, Sharapova called Tuesday one of her happiest days.

The reaction to the news has, of course, been mixed.

She certainly has been practicing. Since the madness began in March, the former No. 1 has been out and about, proudly sharing her off-court milestones along with consistent proof of her work outs.

Wasting no time at all, Sharapova will appear on the Charlie Rose Show on Tuesday night at 11 p.m. on PBS.

She'll be 30 when she returns to the tour.
