"I'm a mother, no drama": Osaka shows off her precious new puppy

Naomi Osaka may have skipped this year’s Wimbledon and lost a chance at claiming another major title, but she picked up something arguably better; a new puppy. Showing off her new beige French bulldog and sporting fresh box braids, Osaka was all smiles in her latest Instagram post.

"I'm a mother, no drama," Osaka captioned the post, (which is also a current TikTok trend).

Sharing multiple photos and videos, the puppy’s name is Butta, and Osaka is already taking the dog everywhere she goes. Many tennis players on both the ATP and WTA are obsessed with dogs, such as Kevin Anderson who brings his rescue dog on tour with him and even has her own Instagram page.

The world No. 2 has distanced herself from social media following her withdrawal from Roland Garros that sparked controversy and conversation around the world. Currently prioritizing her mental and emotional health, she's also gearing up for the Tokyo Olympics later this month. Osaka is still set to represent Japan at the event.
